How Long Does A Krown Application Take?

At Krown of South Central Pennsylvania we know that no one likes to have their vehicle in for service of any kind. You have places to go and business to get done so you need your vehicle. But at the same time you want to have your vehicle protected so that it will last as long as it can. If you are reading this you have considered or are considering getting an undercoating of Krown to protect your vehicle from rust. So how long does it take to have an application of Krown applied?

Not As Long As You Might Think

Most passenger vehicles will take between 45 minutes and an hour to apply Krown to. That is for any vehicle from a 2 or 4 door sedan to a full size van or pickup truck. That’s pretty quick so you will be in and out of Krown of South Central Pennsylvania before you know it!

What Goes Into The Process

First the vehicle is inspected by one of our certified technicians to craft a detailed report for your vehicle. Next all rubber door and body seals are treated with our specially designed silicone spray to protect them and then all floor mats and seats are covered with plastic to protect them. On some vehicles the removal of parts like the tail lights is done next since this will make a Krown application easier.

After that access holes are drilled in the vehicle’s body. These holes are not drilled at random locations and the technician takes into account any service advisory for the vehicle before drilling. The technician will then treat any corrosion prone area of the vehicle. Once this is complete the holes are inspected, greased and plugged with a specialized grommet and any part that was removed is placed back on the vehicle. Last the vehicle is washed with a special soap that removes any excess product from the paint. 

Protection For One Year
