Is Dirt Hiding Rust Under Your Vehicle?
If you take your car out for a drive you will get it dirty. It doesn’t matter if you take a nice Sunday drive through the country, drive around the city or take the less beaten path down a dirt road. When you drive you kick up all kinds of things, like dust and dirt or moisture. None of this is good for your car and most of it does go away on its own, but not all of it does. That is where washing your car comes in but do you remember to get under the vehicle as well? Dirt under your vehicle could be hiding rust and you don’t even know it.
What Is Under Your Vehicle Can Hurt You
Now, we don’t want to make driving sound hazardous. You have probably been doing it for years and have never really had a problem and you need to do it to get to work and back home. That means that you have to drive in all weather. You know that when it rains or snows or as snow melts that there is a lot of moisture on the road and during the colder months that may be mixed with salt which is used to keep the roads safer. That salt and that moisture (and much more) can cause rust to begin to form.
The underside of your vehicle takes a beating. There are all kinds of things that you drive over like stones or sticks that can damage it. They may not cause much damage individually but over time the constant pounding can. As they cause damage rust can form and begin to eat away at the metal. As you continue to drive dirt can cake over top of it making it look like it is just a dirty spot. It is all too common as many people are not as worried about a small cosmetic issue or are unable to get under the vehicle to clean it.
Don’t Wait For Rust
Only when you wash your vehicle do you realize that there is a rust problem and by that point it is too late. This can lead to a costly repair bill for you or driving a vehicle that has a problem that could rear its ugly head at any point. You could lose your brakes or the electronics of your vehicle could go out leaving you stranded high and dry.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Washing your vehicle regularly can help to mitigate this on the parts of your vehicle that you can see and many people do this faithfully. Do you regularly wash the underside of your vehicle? That may not be done as frequently and that is why a rust proofing from Krown can be a valuable tool in your toolbelt. Preventing rust is always cheaper than repairing rust and by maintaining your vehicle you can extend it’s life.
Get Krown’d
An undercoating from Krown can reach all of the hard-to-reach areas of your vehicle which gives you complete protection. It’s formula is environmentally friendly and it lasts for an entire year. There is no need to worry about it during the year as the formula is self-healing. It covers the surface of everything under the vehicle including electric wiring for complete peace of mind so you don’t have to worry about a wet roadway or melting snow.
Krown is a leader in undercoating and rust proofing for vehicles and we think that this product is the best available, but then we are a bit biased at Krown of South Central Pennsylvania. Either way, keeping rust from the underside of your vehicle is a good idea and with spring here now and people heading back to work soon is as good a time as any to have it applied. In fact, spring might be the best time to have it applied.
