LINE-X of South Central PA & Small Business Saturday
Keeping Your Money in the Community
It’s easy for the poignant, family moments that take place during Thanksgiving to get immediately overshadowed by the onslaught of Black Friday marketing. The intense and seemingly unending messages to buy, Buy, BUY have recently spread to Cyber Monday, where online retailers like Amazon have created their own feeding frenzy to further compete with brick-and-mortar stores. Marketing firms want you to think these are bona-fide holidays and not attempts to convince shoppers to start buying early for their winter celebrations.
Small Business Saturday – A “Holiday” for the Little Guy
Sandwiched between these “Holidays” (that are weirdly focused on buying large TV’s) rests “Small Business Saturday” a day to focus on those small vendors that produce one-of-a-kind services in your neighborhood! This day is crucial to keep small businesses in the minds of shoppers before they start their holiday purchasing.
Shop Smart. Shop Local.
Small Business Saturday is important not only to your local business owners, but to you, your neighbors, and your entire community! With large corporations taking more of our dollars than ever before, it’s vital to keep your money in your community- and there’s no better way to do that than to support your local businesses whenever possible. LINE-X of South central PA services their community year round with low prices and unrivaled quality. We stand proudly beside our community and it is our honor to keep their cars, trucks, and SUV’s on the road longer and looking better as a result of our hard work and commitment.
Show your Support for the Little guy!
Started by American Express in 2010, Small business Saturday was officially adopted by the US Small Business Administration in 2011, with the goal of encouraging Americans to shop at the nearly 32 million independently owned businesses in their country. The SBA lists participating businesses and provides consumer insight surveys while American Express makes free marketing materials available for owners through their Shop Small campaign. All of this is focused on one thing: Getting you to keep your money in your community where it can do the most good!
Do Franchises Participate in Small Business Saturday?
Absolutely! While it may be difficult to communicate, Franchise owners in your community are responsible for hiring residents and using local services for cleaning & upkeep as well as the taxes they pay. Additionally, franchise owners in your community take part in Chamber of Commerce events and fundraising sponsorships for schools or local charities. This brief blog post gives a passionate explanation for why franchisees are a vital part of our community’s economy. LINE-X of South Central PA is operated and staffed by local residents and we endeavor to use local goods and services whenever possible.
