Prepare Your Jeep For A Beach Trip This Summer
Summer is here, and it’s the perfect opportunity to hit the beach and enjoy the sun. A jeep is an ideal vehicle to bring with its durability and ability to traverse even sandy environments. However, it will take some damage due to harsh coastal conditions. Moisture, sand, and salt can be factors that can degrade areas of the jeep.
Preparing your jeep for the trip is the best way to minimize or even stop damage altogether. Here are some things you can do to ensure that your jeep is ready:
Go For Professional Line-X Application
Spraying Line-X on your jeep will add that extra layer of protection to prevent wear and tear. It can battle against fading and is tough against harmful UV rays. While Line-X is a spray-on material, we do not recommend a DIY application. It’s best left to the professionals who can ensure that no untouched area remains.
A proper application not only ensures maximum jeep protection but also results in an eye-catching polish. You won’t see any imbalances or missed spots with our treatment. The best part about Line-X is that you can apply it anywhere on your jeep. Some popular applications include
- Jeep interior: You don’t have to worry about any equipment or sand scratching the interior. With Line-X, you don’t need to vacuum. Just spray all the dirt away, and the rinse will be enough.
- Jeep exterior: Protect your Jeep from damage driven by saltwater. Salt is a very corrosive element, and a protective layer is a must.
- Specific areas: If you want to protect certain areas like the bumper or the top, you can specify your needs. You may have new parts installed that have not yet undergone Line-X treatment.
Aside from the regular treatment, we also place a rust inhibitor underneath the jeep. Often, owners fail to look underneath where rust can begin to form and spread fast.
Other Considerations
Aside from having Line-X, bringing extra items will add to the effort towards protecting your jeep. Here are some other precautions to consider for your jeep to remain in good condition.
Car Cover
A car cover will be important in protecting your exterior from the weather. Strong gusts or a sudden change in the weather can lead to saltwater collecting onto your jeep. Beaches are also known for having a high salt concentration in the air, accumulating fast in a jeep’s exterior. The cover will help protect against that.
Seat Covers and Windshield Cover
While Line-X will do an excellent job of protecting your car’s interior, having seat covers will help against the sunlight during the day. It’s useful for leather seats, which can crack and break down under heat. A windshield cover will keep the interior cool and prevent the heat from settling inside.
Off-Road Tires
Driving through the sand can be difficult for standard tires. If this is your first time driving off-road, it pays to have the right tires. They’ll prevent you from getting stuck in sand and mud. They also provide more stability during driving and are more resistant to damage.
Invest In Your Jeep
Spending some money on your jeep to prepare it now will help prevent more expensive costs down the road. Many people forget to treat their jeep with Line-X and have the necessary equipment with them. As a result, their jeep looks more worn down than it should be. Preparation is the key to any trip, and you should not neglect your vehicle.
